Corporate Responsibility Panel
The Corporate Responsibility (CR) Panel is a cross functional management panel, chaired by the communications director and responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the CR Policy to deliver a consistent framework. It reports quarterly to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) on activities, recommendations and key performance data.
The CR Panel oversees policy co-ordination, management and reporting of key areas of impact to stakeholders within the defined areas of environment, workplace, customers and community impacts.
Terms of reference
The role of the CR Panel is to guide United Utilities' approach to corporate responsibility.
The CR Panel will:
- Recommend and review group policies on responsible business practices for alignment across workstreams - workplace, marketplace, environment and community
- Assess and review relevant KPI's against indices, market practice, best practice and United Utilities' operations
- Monitor external developments in CR and recommend United Utilities' approach to Executive Leadership Team (ELT)
- Review business unit and group performance and against KPIs
- Oversee reporting of social and environmental issues through the Corporate Responsibility Report
- Business representatives will represent the full range of issues appropriate to their business unit
- Consider other matters as requested by the ELT
- Periodically evaluate the CR Panel's performance
- Raise awareness of CR issues internally and externally
- Review and approve partnership spend in line with United Utilities' board approval limits
Corporate Responsibility Policy
