The West East link pipeline is an ambitious project which will ensure a continued supply of clean drinking water is available to all of our customers throughout the North West region for years to come.
However, the project is not just about the provision of drinking water. We have worked hard to ensure that the communities which will see the greatest impact, and indeed the greatest benefits, of this scheme understand the wider implications of the capital investment work to be carried out. Notice boards have been erected providing information about the disruption they may experience and the benefits which the scheme will bring.
Local schools along the pipeline route have been contacted and an in-house education exercise developed to identify and provide experience to students of the types of sustainability issues faced by our own engineers when constructing the pipeline.
